Principal Madden’s Weekly Update—Week of June 18

Principal Madden’s Weekly Update—Week of June 18

Happy Summer!

It’s been another wonderful year at RKFRR! Thanks to all of you for your support and communication. I love being the principal here and will continue to do all I can to help your children thrive. It is an honor to serve this community.

Summer Office Schedule

The school office will be open during the summer on most days from 8:00-2:30. Call if you have any questions or want to set up a time to talk. Students can certainly stop in and say hello to Mrs. Madden! She’ll be lonely without all the children!

Library Books

Our librarian, Mrs. Pelis, is hoping to get all of our library books returned by the end of the year. Children will be notified if they have any missing books. Reports cards will not go home with students who owe money for any missing books. These report cards can be picked up in the office during the summer if you return the book or pay the amount for the missing book. Thanks for understanding this policy.

Photos

This week’s photos show some of our recent wonderful school happenings.

Ms. Andrews’s class did some theater in our outdoor classroom.

We had our last event at Florence Heights for the year, where the students had pizza and made tie-die shirts.

We’ve had kindergarten and first grade students visit the community gardens in Florence and have their last session with Ms. Hope in our school garden.

We had our Celebrate Nature event that culminates our environmental work in Collaboration with Mr. Ted.

Our 4th graders had their State Fair.

Important Upcoming Dates

  • June 19 at 1:30: 5th Grade Celebration
  • June 20: Last Day of School with a 12:20 dismissal
  • August 30: First Day of School for grades 1-5.

I hope that all families feel welcome and comfortable at our school. Please do not hesitate to contact me with any questions or concerns.

Sincerely,

Sarah Madden

Principal
