Principal Madden’s Weekly Update—Week of April 1
April Greetings!
Check out the photos from our fabulous Family Game Night! What a wonderful event!
The Week of the Young Child
The National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC) sponsors a week to celebrate of our youngest learners! The Week of the Young Child™ is an annual celebration hosted by NAEYC to spotlight early learning, young children, their teachers, families, and communities. There is a Children’s Festival on April 6 from 9:30-11:30 at Jackson Street School, and our kindergarten students have artwork hung in local businesses. Check out the Freckled Fox to see Ms. Egitto’s class and the Northampton Cooperative Bank on King Street to see Mrs. Smiarowski’s class’s artwork!
Spring Gardening
We have just begun our collaboration with School Sprouts again this spring, as they help us in our lessons using our school garden. It will be nice to get back out there! Classes will have 4 lessons in the garden during the spring months.
