Hello, my name is Mrs. Golden, and I have been teaching for three years at Gaston Elementary. My first year was in 2^nd grade, and I currently teach 4^th grade. My enthusiasm and dedication to academic excellence led me to graduate summa cum laude from Elizabeth City State University where I earned my Bachelor of Science Degree in Elementary Education.  As a cheerleader for education, I will do whatever it takes for my students to succeed. I look forward to building relationships with parents and students with consistent communication to foster the best learning environment for success. The greatest reward is not only watching students grow, but when they tell me they miss being in my class. My students are my "Why". They are my staying power in education.  As a lifelong learner, I enjoy learning new things that I can use and share to contribute to the success all students.

When I am not teaching, I enjoy spending time with my family, building, decorating, watching documentaries and doing things that gets me outdoors. I also, love animals.
