I am from Roanoke Rapids NC,  born and raised. I attended Roanoke Rapids City Schools. I graduated from RRHS. I attended Halifax Community College and received an AA in General Education. I continued my education at Mount Olive College, where I graduated with honors and received my BS degree in Early Childhood Education. My teaching career started at Red Oak Sturgeon Elementary School as a substitute teacher and paraprofessional in 2009. I am now a Kindergarten teacher at Gaston Elementary School. I've had many jobs but, teaching is the one I enjoy the most. I truly love each and every student’s uniqueness and my plan is to have this joy until my retirement days.
