Everson Elementary fourth graders had the privilege of heading to the Nooksack River at Riverside Park this week to release salmon they watched grow from egg to fry at the school. The partnership with the Nooksack Salmon Enhancement Association allowed fourth graders throughout the county—including all the Nooksack Valley Schools elementary buildings—to experience the life cycle growth of salmon via a tank placed within the school.
This notification is to inform parents/guardians and former students of Nooksack Valley School District of the District’s intent to destroy the special education records of former students whose special education services ended during the 2016-2017 school year, due to graduating, completing their educational program at age 21, or moving from the district. The reason the district intends to destroy the records is because they are no longer needed to provide educational services and are no longer required to be retained under state or federal law. The records will be destroyed on August 16, 2024.
Parents/guardians or eligible former students whose records are subject to destruction may request a copy of the records before destruction. To request a copy, please contact Carol Lagassé at (360) 988-4754 or in writing at the following address:
