School is in full swing! Last week was our first full week and it was exhausting. I hope you are all getting your schedules and routines in order. Homework is important, make sure you read every night. You should have your reading log with you at home and at school so you can fill it out. My advice- use it as a bookmark!

I hope you are enjoying Freak the Mighty. It is one of my favorite books of all time, and I have read A LOT of books.

Can you believe October is already upon us? It goes by fast! Pumpkin spice lattes are my favorite treat this time of year and I love the fog as I drive into work. 

We made it through the first month of school. Your challenge is to read 500 pages for the month and take at least two comprehension tests on two novels. I know you can do it if you are reading 20-30 minutes a night.

The last week of October is spirit week here at OV and it is fun! Get ready to dress up!

Time is flying by! Trimester one is over and done. Grades are posted and coming home soon. It is on to Second Trimester. We are going to start a new novel after break and work on theme and drawing conclusions. In Social Studies, we will finish up Mesopotamia and move to Egypt.
