Mr. Caldwell teaches Choir, Orchestra, Ukulele and 6th Grade Band at Olympic View Middle School.  He is a graduate of the University of Alaska, Fairbanks, where he was principal trumpet of the University of Alaska Wind Ensemble, Lead Trumpet of the UAF Jazz Ensemble, Director & Arranger for the UAF Pep Band as well as a member of the UAF Faculty Brass Quintet.  After graduation, he joined the Fairbanks Symphony and also performed with the Alaska Brass Quintet.  Since 1987 Mr. Caldwell has performed as a Keyboardist, Trumpet player, and Vocalist in the Pacific Northwest and Alaska.  Presently he performs as a member of the Portage Bay Big Band.
