    1st/2nd LA/SS Block and 4th/5th LA/SS Block:

    We are wrapping up short stories. If you are curious what your student is writing, stories are accessible on Google classroom. 

    Next week, we will be reading some short stories from Springboard and learning about theme in LA.  In SS, we will be finishing up analyzing documents for Hammurabi's Code and learning how to participate in a debate.  

    Students will have two quizzes next week: Short Story terms and Mesopotamia terms.  

    6th LA:

    We are wrapping up plot elements and figurative language.  Students will be taking a quiz on plot elements next week. 

    For ALL LA classes: Please continue to encourage your child to read at home. especially over winter break.  Students reading logs will be collected on Friday.  We will begin a new reading log January 7.
