I am a Special Education Teacher. I teach Consummer Math and Learning Strategies. I became a teacher after competing and growing up in figure skating and synchronized skating for more than 40 years. I have also coached figure skating and speed skating for more than 25 years. The skills and knowledge gained from my coaching experiences led me to become a teacher. I still enjoy skating anc coaching all ages and levels. My teaching philosophy incoroprates passing on what I have learned and experienced. Each day I believe that people come and go in our lives for a reason, however small or large it is; and that we need to cherish each person and moment. 

I have 2 adult children, and 1 grandson. My family is the center of my life. I enjoy spending time with them at family dinners and activities. Some of my hobbies include walking my dogs, quilting, making bags, knitting, and spinning wool.
