I grew up on Vashon Island, WA before heading to college in Los Angeles at Loyola Marymount University where I pursued a degree in Athletic Training (Sports Medicine). After graduating I volunteered with the Jesuit Volunteer Corps and moved to the Federated States of Micronesia where I worked for two years as an Elementary school teacher and administrator. Upon returning I worked as an Athletic Trainer at Lake Stevens High School for a year before an opportunity presented itself at Mariner High School to move back into the classroom as a Sports Medicine teacher and Athletic Trainer. I have now been at Mariner for 3+ years and have absolutely fallen in love with the community and the perseverance and compassion exhibited by all the students.
