Early Intervention

  •

Our early intervention program offers identification, services, and support to students from when they turn 3 until they are eligible for elementary school.  For students under the age of 3, services are provided by the Golden Gate Regional Center.  The purpose of special education services for eligible students is to lessen the effects of disability or delay. Services are designed to identify and meet a child's needs in five developmental areas, including physical development, cognitive development, communication, social or emotional development, and adaptive development. Within the district, we offer non-intensive, class-based services to eligible students in our classroom, which is currently located at Park School. For students who require a more intensive program, we partner with the Marin County Office of Education, which operates regionalized early intervention classrooms for students with more significant needs.
