Mrs. Stacey Kirkpatrick

Welcome to first grade! Stacey Kirkpatrick is very pleased to let you know that she will be your child's teacher this year! She cannot wait to meet you and your child! She always has so much FUN getting to know each child and their family! She looks forward to facing together the new experiences of being in first grade. She is committed to making this a productive year filled with growth, success, and wonderful memories. It is going to be a FANTASTIC school year!!!
To share a few things about Stacey. She has always had a passion for children, so much that while attending The University of Missouri she changed her major in her senior year to pursue a degree in elementary education. She graduated, got married, and moved to Birmingham all in the same summer. She began her teaching career in Hoover City Schools and taught there for 12 years, 10 of those years being at Riverchase Elementary School teaching second grade. During that time, while she was teaching, she completed her Master's in Elementary Education at UAB. This will be her tenth year at BWF teaching first grade. She absolutely loves working with children and teaching! She is married to her best friend, Matt. He works at John Caroll Catholic High school. Stacey and her husband have two girls, Emma, who is a senior, and Madelyn, who is a sophomore. They enjoy spending time with their girls, family, and good friends. In her spare time, Stacey enjoys relaxing with a good book by the pool, traveling to the beach or mountains, hanging out at Smith Lake, fishing, camping, exploring outdoors, going to sporting events or concerts. She is a mid-western girl at heart from Columbia, MO, so she goes for the MIZZOU Tigers! You will also find her cheering on the Crimson Tide…”ROLL-TIDE-ROLL”!
She has loved being part of the Brookwood Forest Family and is so excited for another great year!!! :)
