Hello! I am so excited to be joining the Cherokee Bend Tribe as the preschool speech/language therapist. I started my career in the Mountain Brook School District after completing my master’s degree in Communication Science Disorders.  At that time, I served students at Cherokee Bend, Crestline, and Mtn Brook Jr. High. Five years later, we moved with my husband’s job to Pennsylvania.  While living there, I was fortunate to work for Easter Seals serving developmental delayed babies (birth to three) and their families. When we returned to Birmingham, I taught in a neighboring school district as a special education preschool teacher until I returned to Mtn Brook in 2009. For the last 11 years, I have worked with students in grades K-6 with speech, language, and social needs at Crestline Elementary. My husband and I have been married for 32 years. We have two amazing, fun-loving adult children. We enjoy traveling, snow skiing, and spending time with our family.
