Thank you so much for visiting my webpage.  I am excited to be teaching at Mountain Brook Elementary.

I was born and raised in York, Pennsylvania. I attended Millersville University of Pennsylvania and graduated in 2010 with an elementary education degree.  In Pennsylvania, I worked as a reading coach for students in grades K-2.  In December 2014, I was awarded my Masters Degree in Special Education from Auburn University.  My studies have helped me to better assist students and help them to become better learners.  I am committed to my students and their families.  I want every child to be successful!

In August 2011, I moved to Birmingham.  Through my aunt, my husband and I met on a mission trip in 2007.  My husband, John, and I were married on July 6, 2013.  John loves working for the United Way of Central Alabama as their Senior Vice President of Resource Development and is a native of Atlanta.  

We are excited to be members of the Mountain Brook community! We live in Crestline with our son, Jackson and our 2 wonderful rescue dogs Penelope and Pippa. Jackson is a great source of pride and joy in our lives. Penelope and Pippa are awesome big sisters and enjoy all the snuggles and snacks Jack has to offer!

In my free time, I enjoy reading, crafting, enjoying the outdoors, and spending time with my family.  I love to spend time with family and friends, attending Auburn games, Barons and Braves games as well.  I have traveled to some wonderful places and enjoy trying new things.  

I enjoy teaching at MBE and look forward to learning more about each of my students and their families.  I work tirelessly to be sure my students are reaching their full potential and are engaged in their learning.  I believe that all students are leaders and all students have the capacity to do wonderful things.
