Once upon a time in a land not so far away there lived a little girl who loved ballet, singing, and playing outside. But more than anything she loved to read. In third grade her love for learning took off. She read about mysteries (Nancy Drew), history (Samantha), and adventure (Harry Potter). As Miss Edgar grew older her love of learning never left. She graduated Utah State with a Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education and is excited to share her adventures in Kindergerten!

Larissa Yahne
I grew up in Washington state until my senior year of high school. I now live in Providence with my family. I am the middle child of five kids. I attended USU for my teaching degree. Some things I enjoy are being outside, reading, writing, running, hiking, camping, singing, traveling, and being with family and friends. I am a very active person so I love playing volleyball, soccer, ultimate, or anything else that requires you to move. My favorite food is everything, but my favorite desserts are brownies, chocolate pie, and chocolate chip cookies. I also like to cook and do a lot of recipe experimenting. I am a proud aunt of my nieces and nephews. I spend a lot of time with them every week. Some of my favorite books are “Adventurers Wanted”, “Island of the Blue Dolphins”, “Fablehaven”, and “Harry Potter”. I am a big fan of movies and I love quoting them. I love books and movies so much because I love adventure. Traveling the world is a dream of mine and I hope to visit many places, experiencing all different types of cultures. Being a teacher is something I have wanted to do for a long time. I am excited to teach at Greenville Elementary. I can’t wait to get to know the kids to create positive relationships and engaging learning experiences!
