• ACT The ACT® is the leading US college admissions test, measuring what you learn in high school to determine your academic readiness for college.

    Generally, you'll take the ACT for the first time in the spring of your junior year. This allows you to reserve the summer months for college applications or enough time to re-take the test during the fall of your senior year if you're not satisfied with your score.

    Like the SAT, the ACT is a nationally administered, standardized paper-and-pencil test that helps colleges evaluate candidates. Colleges now accept your ACT or SAT scores interchangeably. This means that you have the opportunity to decide on which test you'll perform better. And in many cases, students prepare for and take both exams.  

     

     
    ACT state testing

    The ACT is given to all juniors at MC, free-of-charge near the END of 2nd Trimester each year. 

    Students will notified in February about registion dates for this test. Registration will be done during FLEX hour.

     

     PSAT Preliminary SAT/National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test (PSAT/NMSQT) is a standardized test administered by the College Board and cosponsored by the National Merit Scholarship Corporation (NMSC) in the United States. Approximately 3.5 million students take the PSAT/NMSQT each year.

    The PSAT/NMSQT will be offered each year in the fall. The 2017 date for MCHS is Nov. 2

    The cost is $15, payable at the Fees window.
