Denise Mouritsen, Principal
Denise Mouritsen, Mountain Crest High School Principal
Denise Mouritsen received her Bachelor’s Degree in Special Education from Utah State University and began her career in Cache School District in 2004 as a special education teacher. She then continued her education, earning a Master’s Degree in Special Education from Grand Canyon University. She later earned her Administrative Endorsement from Southern Utah University, graduating in 2015.
After spending 12 years as a special education teacher in various schools throughout the Cache District, she began her career as an assistant principal at Mountain Crest High School. She loves spending time at school with the students and cheering them on at all the school events. Currently, she is working on completing her Doctoral degree in education.
Denise currently resides in Wellsville with her husband Travis, and son TJ. She enjoys spending time with her family and friends, riding horses with her family, hunting, and just hanging out.

Tom Williams, Assistant Principal
Thomas Williams, Mountain Crest High School Assistant Principal
Tom Williams is a Cache Valley native. He and his wife have four amazing children. They love to bike, fish, and hike together. He had the opportunity to do his student teaching in Valparaiso, Chile. He has worked in education since 2012 as a history, government, and Spanish teacher. He served as the head swim coach for 9 years at Mountain Crest HS.
Tom loves his career and has enjoyed interacting with his students and athletes. As he transitions into school administration, he looks forward to continuing to positively impact students' lives.

Darren Perkes, Assistant Principal
Darren Perkes, Mountain Crest High School Assistant Principal
Darren Perkes has been in education for twenty-five years. He started at Box Elder Middle School, teaching English and French for one year. He then worked at Sky View High School teaching English, driver's ed, and a tiny bit of French for eighteen years. He has spent the last six years teaching English and WolfPACK Academy part-time at Green Canyon High School and working part-time as a secondary instructional coach for the district.
Darren has four children, three boys and one girl, and two daughters-in-law. He has been happily married for twenty-nine years and is proud to say that his wife still has not convinced him that running is fun. He loves being with his family, hiking, Dr. Pepper, steak, and golf. He has built many lasting relationships with everyone he has worked with over the years, and he is excited about new adventures at Mountain Crest.
