It is with great pleasure and enthusiasm that I write this letter of introduction to you as the Principal of Heritage Elementary School. I am truly honored to be a part of this school community with the best staff, parents, families, and students in the valley. This truly is the place to be! Heritage is a place where strong connections are made between home, school, and our community. I am so very excited to be a part of this school community and look forward to educating the students that attend our school.

Here is a little information about some of my educational background. Desiring to help others, I explored the option of becoming a teacher and enrolled at a local University.  I soon graduated from Weber State University with a Bachelor of Science degree. Majoring in Microbiology and minoring in Chemistry. While at WSU I also earn a Teaching Certificate with a Biology Composite with an ESL endorsement. I later earned my Masters's degree at Grand Canyon University which I enjoyed immensely. Motivated by my positive teaching experiences I pursued and received an Administrative/Supervisory Certificate at Utah State University. This allowed me to have administrative experiences at Spring Creek Middle School, Mountainside Elementary School, South Cache Middle School, and now Heritage Elementary School.

However, it may be more important for you to know that I am the parent of five children and married to a wonderful woman that is also a Teacher. My wife and I have children that range from 14 years to 27 years in age and we have come to understand the challenges and rewards of being a parent. I ensure you all that I want what’s best for “our” children and I will work with parents, staff, and community to ensure our children have the best educational experience Cache has to offer.

I also want to build strong relationships with students, teachers, parents, and other educational stakeholders at Heritage Elementary School. You’ll find me in the hallways, classrooms, outside at recess, and various other special activities working with our students. My passion has been and always will be educating students. With that in mind, you can expect that I will work diligently with our teachers and staff to make sure our students are engaged, challenged, and cared for at Heritage. I have an open door policy and welcome your visit. I look forward to working with your student (s) and getting to know them in this upcoming school year. My name is Matt Mallory and I have been a School Counselor since 2006. Previous to Heritage, I was the School Counselor for Oakley Elementary and Oakley Jr/Sr High School in Idaho for eleven years. We moved here in 2017, and I love to serve the students of Heritage Elementary. I graduated from Utah State University with a Bachelors Degree in Family and Consumer Science in 2003 and again in 2007 with a Master's Degree in Psychology. My wife Amie and I live in Providence with our four children; Jaxson, Kennlyn, Langston, and Mazin and our dog, Lucky. I love being with my family, reading or listening to a good book, and I enjoy working in my yard.

Hello, my name is Angela Sorensen.  I am so grateful to be working with the amazing staff at Heritage Elementary as the Administrative Secretary. I am a Cache Valley native who loves the mountains and being with her family. I love family vacations that allow us to explore new things. I love everything Carmel and believe it or not, I don't like soda. Thank you for sharing your amazing children with us!

I am excited to be working here at Heritage Elementary. I enjoy getting to know the students and I always learn from them. I have worked for Wells Fargo, International Sports Specialists, Inc., and at Wellsville Elementary. I am married to Wayne Purcell who was born in Samoa, and raised in New Zealand; so it is super fun to get to share in his culture. I get to be the Mom to four sons. They range in age from 16 to 36, and are pretty amazing.

My name is Niki Norris, I am excited to be working at Heritage Elementary as the Health Aide.  I grew up in Nibley and then I lived in Hyrum for 13 years and now I’m back in Nibley! I am married to Clif Norris and we have two handsome boys and one dog named Pheobe!  I enjoy spending time with my family, hunting and I love dogs and Diet Coke. I am excited to get to know all the students and staff at Heritage Elementary.

My name is Lonnie Mangum, I am the custodian at Heritage Elementary. I enjoy teasing and laughing with children and adults, they make me smile. I have been a custodian for several years working at Mountain Crest, Spring Creek, Greenville, and now Heritage Elementary. My wife is a 1st grade teacher and has been teaching for several years. We have 2 kids, a girl, and a boy. I am a Grandpa, which is one of my most enjoyable jobs and adventures. I enjoy a good joke, spending time with my horses, my dogs, and my family.
