My journey in education has been diverse and fulfilling. I began as a Teacher Assistant at Central for two years before assuming the role of Lead Teacher/Coordinator for the La Crossroads Alternative School program, where I served for six years. For the past two years, I have been the Cultural Liaison for the School District of La Crosse, working primarily in middle schools while also supporting high schools and elementary schools.Outside the realm of education, I am deeply involved in our community. I proudly serve as the head girls basketball coach for the Central girls’ basketball team, assistant football coach, and president of the board for a local nonprofit organization called Black Leaders Acquiring Collective Knowledge (B.L.A.C.K). Currently enrolled in the Educational Leadership program at UWL, I am actively pursuing licensure in principalship.
I am here at Polytechnic to serve as Interim Dean of Students. As Interim Dean of Students, my vision for La Crosse Polytechnic School revolves around “building relationships that thrive through love and dedication. Unlocking possibilities, igniting passion, honoring culture, while pursuing a quality education.” I am committed to being a passionate, influential leader who brings about positive change and contributes to the enhancement of our community.
