Procedure:
Acceptance into La Crosse Polytechnic is based strictly on lottery. The application is open to any student. Preference is given to pupils or siblings of pupils currently enrolled in La Crosse Polytechnic. Filling out the application puts you on a list of prospective students.
On the first Wednesday of May, our principal presents the list to La Crosse Polytechnic’s governance council Coulee Region Authentic Learning Council. If there are more than 22 students in a prospective grade level, all names will be put into the lottery process. The first 22 selected names will be accepted and the remaining students will be placed on a waiting list in order of their name being drawn. After the lottery, students can still apply to La Crosse Polytechnic. If a grade level does not have openings, the student’s name will be placed on the waiting list.
If accepted, you will receive a letter or email from the School District. Please sign or confirm your acceptance into La Crosse Polytechnic by returning that letter or email to the District office.
