I began my teaching career in Florida back in 2010 as a middle school ELA teacher. I then moved to 5th grade, teaching reading/language arts for 8 years before making my way back to middle school. My last 2 years in Florida were spent teaching ELA to 8th grade.
My family and I made the move to Hartselle, Alabama the summer of 2022 to purchase and take over my grandparents' land. We are currently enjoying our 9+ acres and stocked pond. When I am not teaching Social Studies to 5th and 6th graders here at HIS, I enjoy spending time with my family, which consists of my husband, our son and daughter, and our "wolf-dog" Nakoa.
We enjoy all things local to Hartselle (eating, shopping, events) and love the fact we get to enjoy actual seasons now!
I am thrilled to be part of this family and the Tiger Way.
