Raised in Minnesota, Rebecca has been involved in music since her youth. For seven years, she sang and traveled with Partners in Praise Girls' Choir that travels around the world performing and competing in music. Through these experiences, she has a great appreciation for diversity and cultures. Rebecca Southward completed her undergraduate degree in Music Education at Azusa Pacific University (APU). While in undergrad, she studied classical voice, sang for two years in Chamber Singers under the direction of Michelle Jensen, and studied vocal jazz with Kristin Korb. She also finished her credential and Masters of Education with an emphasis in Digital Teaching and Learning at Azusa Pacific University. From 2013 to 2018, she taught classes on introduction to music, digital media (focus on film, partnership with Nickelodeon), computer applications, and yearbook at John Muir Middle School (Burbank, CA). In 2019, Ms. Southward joined the Wilson Knights to teach music fulltime and has been loving it ever since! Ms. Southward currently teaches: Advanced Choir, Explore Music, Guitar Ensemble, Mixed Choir, and Stage Band.
