Last night the modified boys played an explosive game against the Margaretville Blue Devils with a final score of 44-28. The Wildcats maintained their lead from the start of the game ending the first half with a score of 24-15 with 12 baskets from Chris Cox, Liam Tyree, Joseph White, William Proudman, Jackson Bruno, and Andre Mattice. The team was able to light up the scoreboard with 20 more points in the second half including additional points from Daniel Strauch, Gavin Morales, and Gabe Allen. The Modified Girls capped their season with a win over Margaretville last night, 19-12. Tied at halftime, the girls came out strong against Margaretville's defense and pulled ahead. They took a bigger lead in the 4th quarter as Gilboa entered into the bonus, making some key foul shots. Brooke Brandow finished with 8 points, Addison Bruck with 7 points, and Peyton Ballard and Delaney Hughes adding 2 points each. All of the girls worked hard and played tough defense. Great team effort! The Modified Girls finished their season 8-2 and should be very proud of their growth this year! Keep practicing in the off-season and get ready for next year!
