The Modified Girls played an exciting game last night as they hosted the South Kortright Lady Rams. The game was close at half time with the Wildcats leading 10-8, and in the 3rd quarter, the lead expanded to 18-12. The Rams clawed their way back, though, and tied the game late in the 4th quarter, sending the game into overtime at 20-20. Both defenses worked hard and kept the score the same until Brooke Brandow was fouled with 7 seconds left. She missed the first shot, but hit the 2nd shot, putting the Wildcats up by 1 point. The tough press by the girls prevented the Rams from getting off another shot, so the Wildcat win was 21-20. Addison Bruck led the team with 10 points. Brooke Brandow had 5 points, and Jaidyn Sutton, Mackenzie Cummings, and Peyton Ballard each added 2 points. All of the girls made some great plays and played great defense! Awesome job! The next game is Thursday at home against Charlotte Valley.
