Favorite Educational Quote and Why
"An investment in knowledge pays that best interest." Benjamin Franklin- This applies to education because if we give students a strong fundamental knowledge base, then they will take that knowledge and expand upon it in their life or career. This I feel will insure that we are giving our students the best opportunity to be successful in life.
Why I Became An Educator
I am an educator because I have seen what happens to young people when they don't have a strong knowledge base, from my years of working in corrections. I want to make sure that my students understand both socially and educationally what it takes to be successful in the workplace and in their daily lives. Additionally, I feel that I am an educator because I can explain various concepts of Science and Social Studies to students in a way that they can understand it, remember it, and utilize that knowledge in their next step in education or in their career.
Favorite Places in Caldwell County
Wilson's Creek is my favorite Caldwell County spot because I can go fishing there. It helps me to relax and enjoy being outside in nature.
Favorite Activites
I enjoy working at GMS and teaching in the 7th grade with my colleagues. I also enjoy spending time with my two children and watching them play sports.
