Hello!  My name is Ms. Banks and I am the assigned school social worker for the phenomenal Winecoff Elementary-Home of the Leopards!!!  This is my 6th year with Cabarrus County School and my 6th year at Winecoff Elementary School. I am a native of Hampton, Virginia and I obtained my Bachelors in Psychology from Old Dominion University and my Masters in Social Work from Norfolk State University.  I have previous work experience in Foster Care, Evidenced Based Behavior Modification, Program Development and Extensive work with at risk youth.  I am excited to bring my extensive social work background to work with the students and families of Cabarrus County Schools.  

It is my goal as a school social worker to help children improve academic success by reducing social, emotional, economic and environmental barriers to learning.  Lets work together and have a phenomenal year.

We utilize advocacy, leadership and collaboration to promote overall academic success by providing services that strengthen home, school and community partnerships and alleviate barriers to learning.
