Mrs. Ingle Baran - 6th Grade ELA/ALPS and Social Studies
Welcome Parents/Guardians to Roberta Road Middle School and to our classroom! I am thrilled that I get the honor of being your child's Homeroom/ELA/ALPS/Social Studies teacher for the 2022-2023 school year. We have an amazing year ahead of us!
A little bit of background on me...I grew up in Chapel Hill, NC with my parents and 2 younger brothers. In 1994, I graduated from Appalachian State University with a degree in Elementary Education and a concentration in English. After graduation, I moved to Charlotte and went on to teach 4th and 5th grades in the Charlotte-Mecklenburg School System for the next 6 years. In the summer of 2000, I married my husband and started the Masters of School Administration program at UNC-Charlotte. I graduated in 2002 and went on to be an Assistant Principal of Instruction at Irvin Elementary for two and a half years. In 2003, my son was born and I was lucky to be able to stay at home with him for a year. In early 2005, we moved to the Concord area and I began working at R. Brown McAllister Elementary, first as a 4th grade teacher and then as the API for the next year and a half. In 2006, my daughter was born and I stayed at home with her until she started Kindergarten at Coltrane-Webb where I also had the honor of teaching for 7 years. I then taught for 4 years at JN Fries. This is my first year at RRMS and my 21st year of being in education altogether.
I am not only a teacher here in Cabarrus County, but I am also a parent. My son is a recent graduate from Concord High School and is now a freshman at The University of South Carolina (Go Gamecocks!) and my daughter is a 10th grader in the STEM Program at Central Cabarrus High School. There is no better place than Cabarrus County Schools and being a Roaring Raptor at Roberta Road! I am very much looking forward to the upcoming school year of working with you and your child!
