I am excited to be in my tenth year teaching at Hickory Ridge. I began teaching high school English eighteen years ago after a career in journalism. Continually learning new things and sharing that knowledge with others is one of the things that I enjoy most about teaching, and I hope to instill in my students a similar desire to always look for opportunities to learn and grow.

Materials needed for my English classes include:

• School-assigned Chromebook
• 1-inch, three-ring binder and section dividers or composition notebook with dividers
• Notebook paper
• 3x5 index cards (any color)
• Highlighters
• #2 pencils, black or blue ink pens
