Welcome students and families to NCHS. We could not be more excited about starting the 2022-23 school year! We are confident the combination of rigor, relevance, and curricular alignment provided by our teachers will facilitate a wonderful experience for all our students in a safe and student-friendly learning environment!
I graduated from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville with a B.A. in History and earned my Social Studies/Secondary Education certification from Millersville University. I spent 15 years teaching and coaching before I earned my Masters of School Administration from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte. After earning my degree, I transitioned into the role of assistant principal of instruction for two plus years before I was named principal of NCHS in the spring of 2016.
I have a wonderful wife and a son who is fourth grade. In my free time, I enjoy travelling the world, and doing my best to live what Theodore Roosevelt called the "Strenuous Life". I have a lifelong passion for tennis, the University of Tennessee, and wearing orange to represent both my alma mater and the Trojans!
Looking forward to a great school year Trojan Nation!

Welcome students and parents! I am excited to join the Trojan Nation and am looking forward to a great school year! I graduated college from Appalachian State University in 2015 with a B.S. in Math. I began my career in Cabarrus County at Hickory Ridge High School in 2015, where I taught math and coached for 6 years. Recently, I earned my Master’s Degree in Educational Leadership in 2022 at High Point University. During that time, I was a principal intern at W.M. Irvin Elementary School, but I am excited to be returning to the high school level this year. Education has always been a passion of mine and I can't wait to see what the school year brings.
In my free time I enjoy playing golf, working outdoors, and spending time with friends and family.
If you have any questions, comments, or concerns don't hesitate to contact me! I'll be glad to help in any way I can.
I'll be the administrator over facilities, and will serve students with last names O-Z.
