Welcome to 5th grade!

My name is Ms. Kern and I'm so glad you are here! We are going to have a fantastic fifth grade year together. This is my fourth year teaching 5th grade at Pitts School Road Elementary and I'm grateful to be a part of such a wonderful school and community.  I grew up on the coast of North Carolina, in Morehead City. I graduated from Appalachian State University with a degree in Elementary Education. I enjoy reading, baking, music and almost any outdoor activity.
