EACH DAY IS A NEW DAY!
Welcome Back for the 2022-23 School Year!
Greetings to everyone in the Opportunity Middle and High School Family as we begin a new year focusing on our school culture as well as Reflect-Ignite-Serve-Engage or RISE for the new academic year! I am very happy to share that we have many students who were very successful this past year and many have returned to their home schools. I know they are very excited! The Opportunity School vision and guiding principle is “A revitalized and re-engaged student who is empowered and capable.” This vision statement embodies our day to day practices as we work with students with eagerness, enthusiasm, and dedication. We will continue to assist the school district in preparing responsible, productive citizens who have worked to improve their academic, behavioral, and emotional challenges. Our continuum of alternative services reaches out to proactively target the needs of at-risk students with early intervention strategies, character education, highly trained and talented teachers and staff members, and high quality instruction. At The Opportunity School, we address the needs of students with attendance, credit, and behavioral challenges, but we try our best to help students every day in a smaller, structured, nurturing environment that builds their ability to be successful in the traditional school setting and beyond. As your school leader, I am proud to serve the staff and the students in a positive manner and my role here is to facilitate your educational and behavioral goals so that you are able to transition to your home schools for the next semester. Have a great fall semester and make good decisions that will guide your future. Get plenty of exercise, read, rest, and engage in positive activities and remember that we are here to support you, our students.
In Phoenix Pride,
Principal Beverly Mack
