Mrs. Altamirano

Hello!

My name is Erica Altamirano and I am a Speech-Language Pathologist serving Hickory Ridge Elementary. The kids call me "Mrs. A." I am so happy to be here at our new school! I was born and raised in Marion, NC - in the foothills! I graduated with my Master's in Speech-Language Pathology from Appalachian State University. I help students with a variety of differences including articulation (speech sound), fluency, voice, social communication, and receptive-expressive language. I currently serve on the Board of Directors for the NC Speech, Hearing and Language Association. Speech is my passion and I love working with all types of students!
