    Objective: The emphasis in this course is on muscular strength, endurance, flexibility, and safety. The core lifts in this course include parallel squats, cleans, and bench press. Weight room safety, warm-up/cool down procedures, lifting technique and safety for all lifts, major muscle identification, and individual goal setting are all important components in this course.

    Daily Procedures:

    1. Meet, on time, for virtual class during assigned period block time 
    2. Make sure your workout space is safe and clean
    3. Listen for instructions on what we are doing. 

    Class Expectations:

    1. Respect everyone
    2. Follow directives
    3. NO talking while a teacher is speaking
    4. Must keep video on throughout the class
    5. Dressed and ready for class

     

    Materials:

    • PVC Pipe or Broom Stick, Adequate Space to Workout

    *NO CELLPHONES, Unless permitted by the teacher



    Weight Training Grading Format: 10 points per day format

    • Maximum 5 points for dressing out 
    • Maximum 5 points for “ACTIVE” participation
    • Weekly written assignments are 20 points and due on Fridays. 

    Typical Work Week Format:

    • Schedule:
      • Monday - Teach Lifting Skill
      • Tuesday - Bodyweight
      • Wednesday - Core
      • Thursday - Speed, Agility, Plyometric or Flexibility
      • Friday- Written Assignment

     

    *I will also need you to access PLT4M and get signed up for the app. The code for PLT4M

     

    Via Mobile App 

    • 1)Download App: PLT4M. 
    • 2)Open app and choose "Sign Up". 
    • 3)Enter Join code and follow steps. 

     

    *Failure to dress out results in zero for dress out points, you will be signed off of the live class, plus written assignment to gain participation points back

    • After 3 failures to dress out you will be written up

    PE Dress Expectations:

    Men - Shirt, Shorts/Athletic Pants , and Tennis Shoes.
