About Me...

I grew up in this area and attended Appalachian State and UNC-Charlotte. My husband and I have three children. My children attended Harrisburg Elementary School. In my spare time, I enjoy family time, reading, the outdoors, and trying new recipes. 

This school year is my twenty-first year in the classroom. I have been a teacher in Harrisburg for sixteen out of 21 years. One interesting fact about me is, I am the author of a children's book called Kelsey's Coat. I am excited about our learning in second grade this year! I know it will be a great year! 

In second grade, students enjoy learning reading, math, writing, social studies and science. We integrate our learning through research, integrating technology, hands-on activities and collaborative group work. Our cultural focus this year is the continent of Africa.
