Welcome to our 5th grade class! I am so excited to meet each of you!  Even though this year looks nothing like any other, feel confident that we are going to learn together and make it one to remember!

I wanted to tell you a little bit about myself.  I have been teaching elementary school for 14 years.  All of those years have been right here at Winecoff Elementary!  I am a proud Leopard!  I taught 4th grade for most of those years.  I have been in 5th grade for 3 years and my specialty is math.

I have been married to my awesome husband for 29 years and we have two grown sons, Jon and Austin. My husband and my oldest son, Jon, are also math teachers!  We LOVE numbers!! Austin works in construction and is in the Army National Guard.  I love baking, crafting, and spending time in the mountains.

My goal each year is to convince students that MATH IS AMAZING!!!  Many students come into my class saying things like "I'm no good at math!" "I'm not a math person." "I hate math!"  I spend the year working with students to change that thinking.  EVERYONE has the ability to be successful at math!  Can't wait to make YOU a believer!!
