Ms. Brandi Gadson

Welcome, Patriots!  My name is Brandi Gadson, and this is my first year at Harris Road Middle School.  I am so excited to be one of the newest members of the Patriot’s family.  Although this will be year one for me here at HRMS, this is my 28^th year as a teacher.  I am a graduate of Florida State University’s Class of 1993.  There, I obtained my bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education.  Upon graduation, I taught 15 years at the elementary school level.  It became clear early on in my career that I had a passion and a knack for mathematics, so eventually I became certified in Secondary Mathematics and transitioned to middle school.

I am an energetic and compassionate person and loving mother of 3 adult children ages 24, 21 and 21…yes, I have twins!  The most important things in my life are my faith and my children. I am a sports fanatic!  Some of the teams I love are FSU Seminoles, Tampa Buccaneers, Carolina Panthers, Texas Rangers and Charlotte Hornets.  I am very active in my church and love singing, reading and snuggling with my two dogs, Max and Daisy. 

In my classroom, I strive to make all students feel welcome.  Building relationships with students and getting to know them as individuals helps determine how I can best teach them.  I love to facilitate learning and let me students engage, collaborate and discover how and the why things work the way they do.  I am looking forward to a GREAT year with Team Thunderbirds at HRMS!
