Supply Pickup This Thursday
This week we will have supply pick up for all grades K-8 on Thursday, December 10th from 8AM-6PM. We have lots of things to pick up and they vary from grade to grade. Included with the supplies will also be report cards and packets for inclement weather.
To pick up your students’ supplies, please drive up to the MV front parking lot sidewalk anytime between 8am-6pm Thursday, December 10th. A MV staff member will meet you at your car window to get your student’s name, grade level and their homeroom teacher’s name, grab their supplies from inside and deliver your child’s items/kit curbside. We ask that you remain in your vehicle throughout this process.
If you aren’t able to pick up your supplies on Thursday, you can call our MV office at 541-607-9700 to make an appointment! We’ll get you all set up.
Inclement Weather Packets
What are inclement weather packets? Bethel is planning ahead in case of a snow day. Most likely, we would be able to continue with distance learning and would not disrupt school at all. Yay! On the off chance that we had severe inclement weather causing a mass power outage, we want to be prepared. Teachers have created inclement weather/snow day packets with paper pencil activities that students could access if they could not get online. In addition, MV staff would also reach out to families via phone. By providing materials and teacher outreach, we would likely not need to add snow days in June. Teachers have provided 5 days worth of learning although we doubt we will even need to use them. We think it’s better to be prepared than have school in July 🙂
Community Supports
We want to make sure that our Meadow View community has access to resources around Lane County. are the links to the 2020 Winter and Holiday Resource List, Mental health supports resources and Community Services from Lane 211. Please take a moment to check them out and see all the different ways that the community has come together to offer support to you and your neighbors this winter season and year round. As a reminder, we continue to offer grab-and-go school meals at Meadow View on Tuesdays and Fridays from 11-1PM. These are free to all families.
