MV Mid-School Families 
Happy Spring Break! We are getting excited to welcome our 1st-5th graders back the week of March 29th and our mid school students back on campus the week of April 12th. 6-8 Families who have selected the Hybrid instructional model will have their student attend either Monday/Tuesday (Cohort A) or Thursday/Friday (Cohort B) from 8:30-12:15 (Bethel mid schools have afternoon asynchronous electives, office hours and interventions). We wanted to provide you with some information and a few reminders.
6-8 Schedules
All Bethel middle school students will have a grab-and-go lunch at the end of their day and will not eat lunch on-site. On their off site days, students will continue to work on asynchronous assignments and activities in their google classroom. Teachers will continue to be available to support student learning and answer questions during their afternoon Zoom office hours (M/T/TH/F). Click below to preview our Mid-School Hybrid Schedules:
MV’s Draft 6th-8th Grade Hybrid Schedules
MV students who have selected CDL will continue online learning with a Meadow View teacher. The CDL schedule will not change, but students may have different teachers and classmates.
6-8 Transportation
We are in the process of planning bus routes for students in need of transportation. If your middle school student will be riding a bus, First Student will contact you the week of March 29th to provide you details. Please contact the school office if you have questions about this.
6-8 Self-Screening
Based on our newest guidance from the Oregon Department of Education, families may now screen students for Covid-19 symptoms prior to sending them to school. We hope this will help us minimize the time needed for student arrivals in our school buildings. Here is a link to a home screening resource. Please watch for more information on how to use this resource in the weeks ahead.

6-8 Technology
For those students who have borrowed school computers, we plan to have them continue to use them at home and not bring them onto campus. We will have computers available for in-person learning needs.
6-8 Materials
Your student will not need to bring learning materials to school. We will have a variety of supplies available for students to use in the classroom, including pens and pencils, paper, art supplies and other necessities. These will be provided, stored and sanitized per health & safety guidance. Students are encouraged to bring a clean water bottle and, of course, a mask!
MV K-5 Families 
We are excited to welcome our 1st-5th graders back on campus on Monday, March 29th. Woo hoo! We had a great week with our kindergarteners before Spring Break and can’t wait to see the rest of our elementary students that are returning on-site in the Hybrid model.

MV K-5 Hybrid Reopening 2021 Health and Safety Handbook 3_11_21
The guidance around COVID-19 continues to evolve. We will communicate with families
and update the handbook if/when we receive new guidance and need to make adjustments.
Here are a few important K-5 reminders:
K-5 Meadow View School hours are from 8:30-1:30pm. We will have a staggered arrival and dismissal.
Staggered Arrival:
- Bus riders arrive: 8:10-8:15
- Walkers and bikers arrive: 8:15-8:20
- Parent transport arrive: 8:20-8:30
Staggered Dismissal:
- Bus riders dismiss: 1:15
- Walkers and bikers dismiss: 1:15-1:20
- Parent transport dismiss: 1:20-1:30
Parking Information: Drop Off and Pick Up at School (Pause Parking, Parking Lot Changes & Bethel Park)
We are making a few adjustments to our current parking plan in order to reduce the likelihood of creating close gatherings on campus. Our front parking lot will continue to be dedicated to pause parking for K-3 students and siblings. Families of students in grades 4-8 will continue to utilize the Bethel Park for drop off/pick up.
Here are the big K-5 changes:
- Students will not be entering through the front doors of the school and most grades will use their exterior classroom doors for morning entry/afternoon exit.
- All buses will use the back parking lot
- The K-3 front parking lot will ONLY have pause parking during arrival and dismissal times. Parents/caregivers will remain in vehicles, pull up and drop students off curbside. MV staff will greet students at the curb and assist with getting them to class.
- If you are a K-3 parent and would like to walk your child to their exterior classroom door, please park at the Bethel Park (see grade level maps in Hybrid Handbook Appendix)
While this is an imperfect plan, we are also navigating an imperfect situation. We will try this system and reevaluate in the next two weeks. Thank you for your understanding and cooperation as we put practices in place to prioritize the health and safety of our students, families and staff—this will also help us keep school open.
K-5 CDL
Students staying in CDL will transition with their new class starting on Monday, March 29th. Our elementary CDL schedule will continue with either an AM or PM sessions. We are so glad that we were able to keep our CDL students connected to our MV community, with a MV teacher and classmates from MV.
Free Meals To Continue During Spring Break
Free grab-and-go breakfasts and lunches will still be available for Bethel students during Spring Break. Students will be provided free multi-day meal bags that can be picked up at Willamette High School or Prairie Mountain School on Tuesday, March 23, between 11:00 a.m. – 12:30 p.m.
Meals Plan Clarified For Switch To Hybrid Instruction
As Hybrid instruction begins in Bethel, free meals will continue to be provided to Bethel students whether they are taking part in Hybrid in-person instruction or are remaining in Distance Learning.
Hybrid Students:
- Breakfast and lunch will be served to students in their classrooms during Hybrid instruction
- To cover the days when students are not in the classroom, the current Tuesday/Friday program will continue to offer grab-and-go meals for curbside pick-up at every Bethel school
CDL Distance Learning/Bethel Online Academy Students:
- The current Tuesday/Friday program that offers grab-and-go meals for curbside pick-up at every Bethel school will continue for all students
