Hello Amazing Meadow View Middle School Families!
Reopening is coming in a few short days and we cannot wait to welcome our 6th, 7th and 8th grade students back to the building and complete our Hybrid K-8 Wolf Pack! With all of our health and safety protocols in place and a successful K-5 reopening, we are on track for a safe return to in-person learning for our middle school students!
We are thrilled to say that Middle School Hybrid begins next week: April 12th and 13th for Cohort A and April 15th and 16th for Cohort B. Families who have selected the Hybrid instructional model will have their student attend either Monday/Tuesday or Thursday/Friday from 8:30-12:15. If you are unsure of what your child’s schedule is, please contact Meadow View’s front office at 541-607-9700.
Here are the TOP 5 things to know for next week:
1. Schedules
In person, students will run a similar schedule to what they currently are doing in CDL. They will have the same two blocked core classes at Meadow View (ELA/SS and Math/Sci). Electives and Office Hours will be online at home.
On their offsite days, students will continue to work on asynchronous assignments and activities in their Google classroom. Teachers will continue to be available to support student learning and answer questions during their afternoon office hours (M/T/TH/F). Click below to preview our MV Hybrid Schedules:

MV students who have selected to stay online will continue with Comprehensive Distance Learning with Meadow View teachers. MV’s CDL schedule will not change and students will still have live zoom instruction four days a week and live advisory on Wednesday.
2. Breakfast/Lunch
Students will be able to enter the school starting at 8:15. As students arrive they will be eating breakfast in their classroom. Breakfast is free and available to all students.
All Bethel middle school students will have a grab-and-go lunch at the end of their day and will not eat lunch on-site. Meadow View will continue to host a lunch pick up day on Tuesday and Friday from 12:00 – 1:00.
3. Self-Screening 6-8
Based on our newest guidance from the Oregon Department of Education, families may now screen students for COVID-19 symptoms prior to sending them to school. We hope this will help us minimize the time needed for student arrivals in our school buildings. HERE is a link to a home screening resource. Please watch for more information on how to use this resource in the weeks ahead.
4. Reminders
Monday, April 12th
- Start of 6-8 in-person hybrid schedules for Monday/Tuesday Cohort A
- Start 6-8 asynchronous learning for Thursday/Friday Cohort B
- Continued 6-8 online Zoom schedule for CDL Cohorts
Thursday, April 15th

5. Technology and Materials 6-8
For those students who have borrowed school Chromebooks, we plan to have them continue to use them at home and not bring them onto campus. We will have computers available for in-person learning needs.
Your student will not need to bring learning materials to school. We will have a variety of supplies available for students to use in the classroom, including pens and pencils, paper, art supplies and other necessities. These will be provided, stored and sanitized per health & safety guidance. Students will not use lockers, instead they will store their backpacks on the back of their chair/assigned seat in their classroom. Students should wear a clean mask (neck gaiters are not allowed), bring a clean water bottle, backpack, binder and jacket.
For a deeper dive into the ins and outs of reopening, we have created a Meadow View 6-8 Reopening Handbook with information for families including details about our health and safety practices, staggered arrival and dismissal plans, entry protocols, meals, drop off and pick up routines and more. The information in the handbook is based on our guidance from the Oregon Department of Education and Oregon Health Authority. Please note that the guidance around COVID-19 continues to evolve and may cause us to revise our current plans. If/when this happens, we will update the handbook and communicate any changes with you.
