Response to Washington DC Riots
There is a great deal of attention/media coverage on the unrest in Washington DC at the Capital today and it may continue. We can be assured that many of our students are watching and listening to the tensions and concern. Regardless of political beliefs, this is a concerning situation and can feel scary to young people as well as adults.
Please check in with your staff. It is likely that students may bring up what they are seeing and hearing and our teachers need to be prepared to listen, and respond. This is an opportunity for our social-emotional learning. Please reach out to Tina ASAP if you or your staff need anything.
