The Office of Inclusive Education supports the District’s Vision and Mission by providing a continuum of programs and services to support the academic, physical, social and management needs of students with special needs. The District’s counseling, Committee on Special Education, Committee on Preschool Special Education, occupational therapy, physical therapy, music therapy, registration, health services, school psychology, school social work, special education and speech language therapy services are coordinated through the Office of Inclusive Education.
Each building in the BCSD has an instructional team that works together with parents to provide specifically identified interventions and strategies to support each child’s success in school. Each building team collects and reviews all relevant data and input, and ensures that all general education supports (including instructional modifications, services and Academic Intervention Services) are utilized to best meet the needs of all students.
The Office of Inclusive Education also addresses questions concerning McKinney-Vento and Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act.
Parents are integral school partners in the education of their children. We welcome your input and support.
