Board of Education
-
The Brockport Central School District Board of Education consists of seven volunteer community residents elected by District voters. Regular Business Meetings are typically held on the first and third Tuesday of each month at 6 p.m. during the school year (5 p.m. during the summer) for the purpose of conducting public business and taking required action on agenda items. Please see the district calendar and social media posts prior to each BOE meeting for meeting location.
When a special meeting is necessary, public notice is given as soon as possible prior to the meeting. All meetings of the Board are open to the public except those specifically exempted by law. By law, closed or executive sessions may be called to discuss certain personnel action, student discipline cases, contract negotiations, some property transactions and for consultation with attorneys on pending litigation. Meeting dates and additional information about the Board of Education can be found on the pages to the right. If you have any questions regarding the Brockport Board of Education, Board meetings, policy issues, etc., please feel free to contact the District Clerk's Office at (585) 637-1810.
*As part of the Board's initiative to further engage with the community on important school issues, and to promote continued transparency, the Board of Education will dedicate the second meeting of each month to publicly study and discuss matters of interest or concern that affect the district. Every session will include the opportunity for public comment.
