Hello!

My name is Jessica Staten and I am one of the kindergarten teachers. This will be my sixth year working for Biloxi Public Schools at Nichols Elementary, but it is my first year as a kindergarten teacher. Previously, I was a Special Education teacher and I have worked with students in Pre-K, kindergarten, and first grade. 

I graduated from the University of Southern Mississippi in 2017 with a Bachelors in Special Education and in Elementary Education. I also received a minor in Education of the Deaf. 

I love to travel. I student taught in England and have traveled around Europe and the United States. I love visiting new place and seeing new ways of life. I also have a huge passion for reading and if I am not teaching, reading is what you will find me doing. 

I am thrilled to work with kindergarten students and I absolutely love teaching them. I am proud to be a part of the Indian Nation and to be able to do what I love every day!
