- Come to class prepared mentally and physically.
- Be prepared to be engaged and an active learner.
- Have the materials that you need with you as we start the lesson.
- Math binder that was set up in the beginning of the year. The math textbook, loose leaf paper and graph paper should be in the binder.
- Pencils to write with. More than one encase the tip breaks!
- Chromebook
- Online Etiquette
- Be on time and prepared.
- Video must be on the student at all times with proper lighting so the students facial expression can be seen.
- If there is an issue with wifi, parents need to email teachers directly.
- Technology issues will be submitted to the technology department. Please advise the school of these issues so they can be resolved before class, if possible.
- Daily Agenda with all the materials is posted on Google Classroom.
- Homework
- Homework is assigned daily and checked daily.
- Homework assignments are posted on Google Classroom, Real Time (the new grading software) and discussed in class.
- Homework assignments are checked for completeness. Be sure to follow the instructions.
- Late assignments accepted for partial credit until the unit test.
- Absent students must submit assignments in a timely fashion.
- Weekly Review
- Weekly Review assignments are posted on Google Classroom, Real Time and discussed in class.
- Weekly Reviews are assigned weekly and checked weekly.
- Assigned through Castle Learning or MathXL.
- Late assignments may be deducted 3 points per day late.
- Classwork
- Exit Ticket or Check In is assigned to check the students basic understanding of the most recent lessons.
- Completed usually at the end of class with the use of notes.
- Exit Ticket or Check In is graded for accuracy (1 or 2 points).
- Absent students are excused from the assignment.
- Quizzes - there may be multiple quizzes during a unit.
- Quizzes are posted on Google Classroom, Real Time and discussed ahead of time in class.
- A variety of review assignments are provided. Students can also redo classwork, homework and summary problems to review.
- Test - There is one test per unit.
- Tests are posted on Google Classroom, Real Time and discussed ahead of time in class.
- A variety of review assignments are provided. Students can also redo classwork, homework and summary problems to review.
- Absent students
- Absent students are expected to to access the class agendas and materials from Google Classroom.
- Missing assignments are expected to be completed in a timely fashion.
- All grades are posted regularly in Real Time.
- Students should check regularly.
