Hello! My name is Angela Sammarone, and I am so excited to return to Brookside for my fifth year of teaching and the 2021-2022 school year. My ultimate goal for incoming students is to have each of them develop the skills needed to become lifelong readers and writers. 

To achieve this, we need three key components: opportunities, risk-taking, and confidence.  We need time to read and write. We need to try something new, whether that means reading in a different genre or experimenting with voice; and, we need to develop and strengthen our confidence in ourselves as readers and writers. 

I look forward to working with you, parents/guardians, to make this upcoming year an engaging and challenging experience for your child!
