Classroom Policies

Grades

Grades will be determined on a point system in our class. Typically, homework and classwork assignments are worth between 2 and 25 points. Any quizzes and shorter assignments are worth between 10 and 50 points, and essays/projects are worth between 50 to 100 points, sometimes more. If an assignment is late, points will be deducted. Not all assignments will be accepted for late credit. All grades will be posted to Realtime, so please check the website on a regular basis. Please contact me in a timely manner if you have a question regarding your grade. 

Absent

If you know you are going to miss class, please let me know in advance. Homework should also be gathered prior to the absence, to be turned in ON TIME.  

In the event of an excused or unexcused absence, it is your responsibility to reach out to me or contact a classmate for the assignment. You will have one school calendar day to make up and turn in any missing work for each excused absent day (i.e. if you are absent on a Friday, the assignment would be due Tuesday.) Any work submitted after this deadline may or may not be accepted for credit per my discretion.

A note about printing...

If an assignment asks for you to print at home, please arrange to print either at home or contact me PRIOR to when the assignment is due so I may print it for you. If you have printing troubles, please email or notify me of the issue BEFORE class. Any assignment not printed on time may result in a loss of partial or full credit for the assignment.
