Testing and Accountability

Multiple measures are utilized within the SHUSD schools to ensure that we are providing ALL of our students with the best possible academically rigorous education and necessary supports, as needed, along the way. The testing matrix includes all assessments that are provided throughout the year within the district for accountability and data-driven decision making.
SHUSD utilizes "Measures for Academic Progress" (MAP) assessments (as our student growth measure) for fall, winter, and spring in grades TK-10 for both English and Math. Attached is a parent guide to understanding the MAP assessment.
