  • Minutes of the March 31, 2021 Board of Education Meeting

NEW BUSINESS

  • Review the CSE Minutes for 3/17/2021, 3/25/2021, 3/29/2021
  • Recommend the Board approve the appointment of Kathryn Corbett as Substitute Bus Monitor for the 2020-2021 school year; salary per the CSEA contract.
  • Recommend the Board appoint Brian Dengler as the Asbestos Designee for the Waterford-Halfmoon UFSD effective April 23, 2021.
  • Recommend the Board adopt the 2021-2022 District Budget for the amount of $20,791,576.00.

NEW BUSINESS

  • Review CSE meeting minutes for 4/19/2021.
  • Recommend the Board approve the 2021-2022 Property Tax Report Card as presented.
  • Recommend the Board approve the WSWHE BOCES Final Service Commitment for the 2021-2022 school year for the amount of $1,971,233.34.
  • Recommend the Board accept the resignation of Kale Rodrigues as JV Softball Coach for the 2020-2021 school year.
  • Recommend the Board accept the resignation of Mary Varcasio, Elementary Teacher’s Aide, for the purpose of retirement, effective June 30, 2021 after 23 years of service to the District.
  • Recommend the Board approve the appointment of Shelby Kuring as Substitute Food Service Worker for the 2020-2021 school year; salary per the CSEA contract; pending fingerprint approval.
  • Recommend the Board approve the appointments of Kyle Williams and Kyle Brisson as Varsity Baseball Assistant Coaches for the 2020-2021 Spring Athletic season.
  • Recommend the Board approve the appointments of the following for the 2020-2021 Spring Athletic season; salary per the WTA contract paid on a prorated basis as determined by the actual percentage of the season coached.

NEW BUSINESS

  • Recommend the Board approve a transfer of the $38.78 balance in the inactive Global Travel Club to the Senior High School Student Council in accordance with Board Policy Number 5520.
  • Recommend the Board exempt the following clubs from being named inactive for 2020-2021 in accordance with Policy Number 5520 due to a period of inactivity caused by the COVID-19 pandemic.

    • Junior High School Student Government

  • Recommend the Board approve the appointment of Heather Sowle as a long term sub for the Jr/Sr High Chorus teaching position for the remainder of the 2020-2021 school year; effective February 1, 2021; salary per the policy on substitute teacher pay.
  • Recommend the Board approve the appointment of Heather Sowle as class advisor for the Jr/Sr High School Drama Club for the 2020-2021 school year; salary per the WTA contract; paid on a prorated basis as determined by the actual percentage of the year worked.
  • Recommend the Board approve the appointment of Andrew Durand as High School Substitute Teacher for the 2020-2021 school year; effective May 7, 2021; salary per the policy on substitute teacher pay.
  • Recommend the Board approve the following people to work the polls for the May 18, 2021 Budget Vote and Board of Education Election for a stipend of $100 each: Sam Carson and Amy Atwood.
