Students in Logan Schamerloh's Leadership class at Washington Middle School provided the staff a Coffee Bar on Tuesday, November 22, the final day before Thanksgiving Break.
The Leadership students went around and took orders from all of the staff and provided menus. They then made the drinks and hand delivered them to the staff.
“The staff loved it. It was a total surprise. They did not know about it until the order form came around,” Schamerloh said. “It was a Thankful Tuesday Surprise for our staff. We also had cookies for the staff along with hand written notes.”
The students planned the event as part of their class work. They worked on communication skills in written and verbal form through the project. They looked up recipes, planned a shopping list, and gathered supplies.
Starbucks in Washington donated all of the cups.
