Washington High School Track and Field Teams Sweep Titles at Nix Relays

WHS Nix RelaysWashington High School won both the boys and girls team titles at the annual Russell C. Nix Relays on Wednesday, April 17.

The Blue Jays easily won the boys title with a team score of 101. Borgia and Owensville tied for second with 67 followed by Union (65), Warrenton (63.5), Blair Oaks (62), Sullivan (52), St. Clair (47.5), Pacific (44), St. Louis Blue Knights (20) and Crystal City (16).

The Lady Jays won the girls title with a team score of 100.5. North Point finished second with 96 followed by Pacific (73), Owensville (72.5), St. Louis Blue Knights (49.5), Blair Oaks (42.5), Warrenton (42), Sullivan (42), Union (41), St. Clair (22), Borgia (8) and Crystal City (2).

Washington boys event winners were the 400-meter throwers relay (50.8), the 4x110 shuttle hurdle relay (1:04.41), and the 1,600-meter relay (3:27.74).

Washington girls event winners were the 400-meter throwers relay (58.23), the 800-meter relay (1:49.07), the sprint medley relay (4:29.27), and Alyssa Repke in the discus (111-8.25).
